In order to have a safe, successful operation there are many healthcare workers that will be present in the operating room.
The Ophthalmologist (eye surgeon)
The scrub nurse (who will be assisting the ophthalmic surgeon)
The floor nurse ( will be assisting the scrub nurse)
The anaesthetist ( who will be administering anaesthesia) and the anaesthetic nurse
Depending on the eye operation there may also be an assistant surgeon.
